Laguna Beach is surrounded by 22,000 acres of open space that helps define our city as unique in Orange County and all of Southern California. Laguna Greenbelt, Inc. led decades of effort to preserve this coastal wilderness. See it for yourself.

Founded 1968

Our founder, local bookstore owner Jim Dilley, sought to preserve a “greenbelt” of open space around Laguna Beach. We led efforts to preserve a coastal wilderness area that is now almost four times the size that Dilley envisioned. Read more
